Medical Guide: Common Cold in DayZ

The Common Cold is the most frequent illness in DayZ, especially in rainy maps or cold seasons. While not instantly fatal, its constant sneezing and coughing will give away your position to both infected and hostile players, while slowly consuming your energy.

To prevent catching a cold, survival experts recommend keeping your core body temperature high, wearing warm clothes in good condition, drying yourself next to a fire if wet, and keeping your immune system boosted by maintaining high nutritional levels.

If you have caught a cold, the ideal treatment is to take Multivitamin Pills to boost your immune system, or Tetracycline to fight the infection directly. Make sure to wear a mask to avoid transmitting the virus to your group members.
